The teaser of Telugu superstar Prabhas’ much-awaited fantasy horror film, The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, was unveiled by the makers on Monday (June 16). Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar, the film is slated to release worldwide on December 5.

The teaser takes us into an old, abandoned bungalow, with an eerie voiceover that goes, “This house is my body. The wealth here is my life. Even after I am gone, I am the only one who is going to experience it,” after which we get hints of the horror lurking within the walls of the bungalow. And then we get the hero’s entry; Prabhas’ character appears and says, “Can you calm down for a second?” as if he’s talking to both the narrator of the voiceover and the editor of the teaser.

We briefly see glimpses of Prabhas’ character romancing Malavika and Nidhhi’s characters, before Sanjay Dutt’s antagonist character makes a thrilling entrance. The teaser promises a hilarious yet thrilling fantasy horror drama on cards.

With music scored by Thaman S, the film has cinematography by Karthik Palani and editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under his People Media Factor banner, the film is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

The release of The Raja Saab teaser comes days after the promo got leaked online, leading to the makers warning social media handles against posting leaked content from the teaser.

Meanwhile, Prabhas has signed a three-film deal with Hombale Films, the production house behind pan-Indian hits KGF, Salaar and Kantara. One film among the three is set to be the second instalment of Salaar, to be directed by Prashanth Neel. The actor will feature in a cameo in the Vishnu Manchu starrer mythological fantasy Kannappa, set to release on June 27.
