Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, is continuing to struggle at the box office. Directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Salman Khan Films, the Hindi action drama hit the screens on March 30, 2025.

The film earned ₹1.75 crore on Monday (April 07, 2025) in India, taking its total domestic collection to ₹104.25 crore, reported tracking portal Sacnilk. The worldwide collection of the Eid release stood at ₹168 crore by the end of ninth day.

Sikandar, which opened to negative reviews, has struggled at the box office from Day 1. It collected 26 crore on the opening day, followed by 29 and 19.5 crore on the next two days domestically. The movie, which also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Satyaraj, Sharman Joshi and Anijini Dhawan, is unlikely to cross the ₹150-crore mark in India. According to the makers, the movie crossed the ₹180-crore mark globally in eight days.

Sikandar revolves a Gujarat royal (essayed by Salman Khan) whose heart beats for the common man. A personal loss pushes him to take on the corrupt system.

The Hindu review of Sikandar said, “Salman’s stiff presence and stilted dialogue delivery add to the woes. The action choreography has little novelty. In the absence of effective camerawork, it seems people queue up to be beaten by a star whose intent is intact but agility waning.

“Saddled with stock dialogues, Rashmika adds one more film to her filmography where her job is to boost the star’s ego. Sharman Joshi and Kajal Agarwal have little to do to justify their presence. Sathyaraj keeps gritting his teeth as if he knows what could have been done with this material.” Pritam has composed the music for the film while Santosh Narayanan has done the background score.
