After months of speculation, the release date for Prabhas’ upcoming horror entertainer The Raja Saab has finally been confirmed. The film is set to hit theatres worldwide on December 5, 2025, following a series of delays and rescheduled plans.

Initially slated for an April 2025 release, The Raja Saab faced postponements that sparked rumours about a potential festive debut. The makers ended the uncertainty, announcing the new date today, and also confirmed that the film will release in five languages — Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Directed by Maruthi, known for Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Mahanubhavudu, the film marks Prabhas’ first foray into the horror-comedy genre. Joining him are Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar in lead roles.
Maruthi shared the news on social media, unveiling a new poster of the film that read, “Dec 5 in cinemas worldwide.” In his caption, he wrote, “A day that promises a festival on the big screens just like we all dreamt of seeing our dearest darling #Prabhas. A lot more exciting days ahead… #TheRajaSaab.”
Produced by People’s Media Factory, the film features music by Thaman S and cinematography by Karthik Palani. The official teaser is set to drop on June 16.
The Raja Saab is currently the only major Telugu release slated for December 5, positioning it strongly at the box office. However, it will face competition from the Hindi film industry, as Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri is also scheduled for release the same day.
