Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan and ace producer Karan Johar, who are currently teaming up for Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, are reportedly joining hands once again for a comedy film franchise helmed by director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba of Fukrey fame.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the upcoming project is being designed as a high-concept comedy trilogy. “Karan has loved the concept and instantly agreed to bankroll the project for the big screen. It’s a script that has the potential to resonate with every section of cinema going audience,” the portal quoted a source.

Interestingly, the source also revealed that the film will be a big-scale comedy caper that boasts grand visuals, something industry pundits wouldn’t associate with traditional comedy films.

Pinkvilla’s report further added that the film is currently in its pre-production stage and will go on floors in September of this year. The makers are also reportedly aiming to release the film in the second half of 2026.

This comes just months after the two announced their collaboration on the rom-com Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, an announcement that put an end to an alleged feud between the two after Kartik’s recasting in Dostana 2. Helmed by Satya Prem Ki Katha director Sameer Vidwans, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri is set to release in 2026.

Meanwhile, Kartik will be seen next in Anurag Basu’s film, co-starring Sreeleela, which is set to release for Diwali this year.
