Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s recent blockbuster Good Bad Ugly, which on Friday crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark at the global box office, is expected to breach the Rs. 250 crore mark soon. The film is reported to reach the milestone today (April 20), and this will also make it the first Ajith Kumar film to do so.
Notably, the film is also expected to become he highest-ever grosser for the superstar in his home state of Tamil Nadu, beating Viswasam, which had collected around Rs 127 crores in the state.
According to the trade website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs. 148 crores in India as of Saturday, with Tamil Nadu contributing Rs. 123 crores.

Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, reached Rs 200 crores on Friday in just 9 days, making it one of the fastest Tamil titles to do so. It is also the first Tamil film of the year to reach the milestone figure.
Starring Trisha as the female lead, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Arjun Das, Prabhu, Sunil, Prasanna, Raghu Ram, Redin Kingsley, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu and Shine Tom Chacko.
It features Ajith as a retired gangster who is forced to take up arms one last time to save his son. The film, filled with numerous callbacks and references to Ajith’s previous films, is said to be high on fan service, the kind of film Ajith’s ardent fans have been wishing from their idol for quite some time.
The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash. Abinandhan Ramanujam serves as the cinematographer, while Vijay Velukutty is on board as the editor. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar produce the film under their Mythri Movie Makers banner.
The Hindu’s review of Good Bad Uglycalled the film “a loving work of nostalgia” and as a “new benchmark in fan service.”
