After 18 long years of waiting, Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinched their maiden Indian Premier League title on Tuesday (June 3) in a nerve-wracking final match against Punjab Kings. Social media has been abuzz with pictures and videos of Indian legend and RCB’s star batter Virat Kohli’s emotional moments after the win. Many celebrities, including Allu Arjun, Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Kartik Aaryan, Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday, and Rashmika Mandanna, also wished Kohli and RCB on their momentous victory.

Sharing a screengrab of the team, moments after their win, Arjun wrote, “THE WAIT IS OVER. “Ee sala cup namde!” At last! We’ve been waiting for this day for 18 years. A big, big congratulations to RCB! (sic)“

Meanwhile, the Pushpa star shared a video of his son, Ayaan, visibly overcome with emotions after the team’s win. The video also featured the child calling Kohli his role model, before pouring water over his head and expressing his excitement.”

Ranveer shared a picture of Kohli and former RCB batter AB de Villiers on Instagram Stories from the final and wrote, “This is everything!” In another story, the actor shared a video of Kohli tearing up during the final over of the match. “One club player,” wrote Ranveer.

Ajay Devgn wrote on X, “Been watching and cheering for years….finally RCB has made history. Congratulations @imVkohli and the entire team @RCBTweets.”

Vicky Kaushal shared pictures of Kohli from the final and wrote, “To the man who’s given everything to the sport… this was long due! @virat.kohli (sic)“

Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, who are all set to reunite on screen in Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, shared the video featuring Kohli’s emotional moments from the final on their Instagram stories. “Finally. Jersey No. 18 After 18 Years,” wrote Kartik.

“Congratulations to @RCBTweets, all RCB fans you have waited with so much energy and passion and love. It’s a happy happy moment to see,” wrote Vijay Deverakonda, while Rashmika Mandanna’s Instagram story read, “It smells like victory in here.”

Actor Sonu Sood congratulated RCB on the win, but also added that their opposition, Punjab Kings, “played with heart and character.”
