After delivering couple of box office duds, Vicky Kaushal is back on track with Chhaava, the historical drama directed Laxman Utekar. The actor plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the biopic, which also stars Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna.
The makers announced that the film has crossed the grand total of Rs 145.33 crore in four days in India. The film is set to cross the Rs 200-crore mark at the box office world wide.

The box office run of Chhaava augurs well for Vicky Kaushal, whose previous films Bad Newz, and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke failed to make a mark at the box office. Chhaava extends the dream run of Rashmika Mandanna, who starred in mega blockbusters such as Pushpa 2: The Rule, Animal and Varisu.
Directed by Laxman Utekar of Mimi fame, Chhaava released on the big screen on February 14. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films.

The period drama is based on the life of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, essayed by Vicky Kaushal. Mandanna plays his wife, Yesubai. Chhaava marked another collaboration for Vicky Kaushal and Utekar, who have previously worked on the romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023) opposite Sara Ali Khan.
