Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment is in early discussions to develop a second season of Adolescence, the breakout Netflix drama that has captured global attention since its March release.

In their first public comments since the show’s success, Plan B co-presidents Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner confirmed they are in talks with director Philip Barantini about a possible follow-up. “We’re looking at how to widen the aperture, stay true to its DNA, and not be repetitive,” Gardner said, careful not to reveal too much.
The original series, co-created by Stephen Graham and writer Jack Thorne, follows the story of a 13-year-old boy entangled in the online manosphere and accused of stabbing a female classmate. Starring newcomer Owen Cooper, Adolescence has amassed over 114 million views, placing it fourth on Netflix’s all-time English-language TV list.

Kleiner noted that Adolescence began as a pitch to Amazon Prime Video, which ultimately passed. Netflix quickly picked it up, with co-CEO Ted Sarandos reportedly “personally moved” by the series.
The show has sparked political discussion in the UK, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer acknowledging its impact on his own family.
While no official announcement has been made, Plan B hopes to reunite Graham and Thorne for the project.
