Feminichi Fathima, directed by Fasil Muhammed, has won the award for the best film in the 48th Kerala Film Critics Award for the year 2024. Indu Lekshmi bagged the best director award for her film Appuram. Tovino Thomas was adjudged best actor (male) for his performances in ARM and Anweshippin Kandethum, Nazriya Nazim and Rima Kallingal shared the best actor (female) award for their performances in Sookshmadarshini and Theatre-The Myth of Reality respectively.
Jury chairperson George Onakkur declared the awards in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. Thekkinkad Joseph, Aravindan Vallachira, Jose K.Manuel and A.Chandrasekhar were the other members of the jury. Film critic Vijayakrishnan was chosen for the Chalachitra Retnam Lifetime Achievement Award. Actor-scriptwriter Jagadeesh was awarded with the Ruby Jubilee Award constituted to commemorate the 40th year of the Association for his outstanding contributions to Malayalam cinema.
Actors Seema, Babu Antony and Suhasini, Cinematographer and director Vipin Mohan, Producer Jubilee Joy Thomas and action choreographer Thyagarajan were selected for the prestigious Chalachitra Prathibha Awards.
