The makers of Maranamasshave released the film’s trailer. The Malayalam film, directed by Sivaprasad, stars Basil Joseph in the lead role.
The movie, set to release on April 10, 2025, promises a blend of fun and chaos. The trailer begins with the mention of a serial killer. Babu Antony, essaying the role of Ajay Ramachandran IPS, is tasked to nab the killer, who is feared as the next big criminal after Ripper Chandran. The government announces a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh to those who will nab the killer.
Basil is introduced as ‘Angry Young Star’, a notorious troublemaker. The actor appears in a funky avatar as we see him in a trendy hairstyle. Rajesh Madhavan, Anishma Anilkumar and Siju Sunny also play prominent roles in the movie.

Siju Sunny, who has penned the story, has co-written the dialogues with Sivaprasad. Maranamass is produced by actor Tovino Thomas, Rapheal Pozholiparambil, Tingston Thomas and Thanzeer Salam. Sanu John Varghese is the cinematographer of the movie while Justin Varghese is the music composer.
Basil Joseph was last seen in Ponman, directed by Jothish Shankar. The movie also starred Sajin Gopu, Deepak Parambol and Lijomol Jose in prominent roles.
